Sebbo FAQ

  • Do I need to know how to program the Sebbo in order to use it? No way. The Sebbo will come with various built in patterns and functions that will be easily navigated with the push button on the device.
  • Is it waterproof? Your Sebbo is made of water resistant materials however the USB port is exposed to the elements. The Sebbo should survive a sweaty night at a music festival or a few drops of rain but will not fare well if submerged in water. It is not designed to be water proof.
  • How do I code it? The Sebbo is coded using the Arduino interface. Instructions will be provided and we're developing a user community as well. Details to follow.
  • How long should I charge it? The Sebbo will take approximately 4 hours for a full charge and should last approximately 6 hours on a full charge.
  • What is Arduino? Arduino refers to an open-source electronics platform or board and the software used to program it. Arduino is designed to make electronics more accessible to artists, designers, hobbyists and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.
  • Will I have to change the light bulbs? No the 20,000 hour lifetime of the individual bulbs are intended to exceed the life of the bracelet.
  • Can I wash it? Yes. The Sebbo is made of waterproof materials and therefore it can definitely be cleaned. Please follow care instructions here. DO NOT submerge in water or machine wash.
  • Is the battery replaceable? The Sebbo is not designed for the battery to be replaced by the end user.
  • Will the Sebbo have a warranty? If so, how long will it be and what will it cover? Yes the Sebbo will have a one year warranty against manufacturer defects. However please note that if not handled correctly the Sebbo is vulnerable to damage and we will not be able to honor any warranty claims if a bracelet is bent or folded.
  • How easy is it to code? If you are familiar with the Arduino programming environment it will not be difficult to code a Sebbo. However for novice coders or those wanting to get started with Arduino we've created a community for people to share code snippets as well as help each other learn how to use the Arduino functionality of the Sebbo.
  • What operating system can i use? You can upload code to the Sebbo through the Arduino environment which is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
